6 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Antti Niemi stopped 25 of the 28 shots that came his way during a 7-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. The veteran netminder was staked to a 6-1 lead in the second period and went untested for portions of the game. Niemi has now won back-to-back starts which gives him a 2-0-0 record on the season to go along with a 2.88 GAA and .893 SV%. Carey Price (flu) should be back any day, but Niemi has proven to be a decent streaming option when he takes the net.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
