4 years agoAlmirola has the car in the Ford which could contend. The Smithfield driver was able to qualify right near the top last week and maintained his positioning for the start of Sunday afternoon's race. Since 2015, he has only crashed out of the 500 once. For the most part, he is a driver that stays out of the fray when it comes to pileups. Almirola is experienced enough to remember that fourth-place finish in 2017. He may be able to replicate that on Sunday if he does not trade too much paint. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
