6 years agoStewart-Haas Racing driver Aric Almirola will start from the outside of Row 1 at the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday next to pole sitter William Byron of Hendrick Motorsports. Almirola hasn't had a very good history at the Charlotte tri-oval, posting a dismal 18.5 Average-Finish Position in 12 career starts, including just one top-10 finish. He was very average among all drivers in Best 10 Consecutive Lap Average, too, posting a speed of 178.051 mph to rank 22nd. He will be searching for his ninth top-10 finish of the season on Sunday.--Daniel Dobish
