Ariel Jurado Goes Seven Strong Innings
5 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Ariel Jurado gave up three runs in seven innings and earned his sixth win of the season Thursday night in Oakland. Jurado gave up three hits and two walks while striking out six on 108 pitches. It was a nice bounce-back start for the 23-year-old right-hander who had given up five runs in each of his past two starts. Jurado has shown flashes at times this season but is too unreliable for fantasy owners to trust. He only generates swinging strikes at a 7.2 percent rate which has resulted in a well below average 17.1 percent strikeout rate. He'll try and build of this start next time out Wednesday at home against the Mariners.
