7 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Ariel Miranda will get the start Tuesday against the Astros, per MLB.com. Miranda has begun the season in the minors after winning 13 games in 2017 for the team. The 29-year-old left-hander flashed some promise last season, posting a 3.81 and 3.32 ERA across 11 starts in the months of April and June, respectively. But he served up an astounding 37 home runs and posted a 6.91 ERA in the second half of the year. During that span, he gave up 17 of those long balls in a 56-inning span. Miranda will have a tough test against a dangerous Astros lineup and would not be a recommended play for Tuesday.--Joey C - RotoBaller
