2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that defensive lineman Arik Armstead (knee) sprained his MCL in training camp practice and will be out for a few weeks. His knee injury isn't considered serious, so Armstead still has a chance to be ready for Week 1. The 28-year-old former first-round selection had a career-high 63 tackles (29 solo), six sacks, seven tackles for loss and 11 QB hits in 17 starts in his seventh season with the Niners.
