4 years agoIn the battle of top-15 ranked featherweights, 10th-ranked Arnold Allen (17-1) landed the big shots when needed as well as implementing his grappling game to take the unanimous decision victory on Saturday. This was a case of the stat line reading much different than the official outcome. In 15 minutes of action, Allen only landed 21 significant strikes, but the strikes came at the right time, with a few actually staggering and dropping Sodiq Yusuff. Defeating a fellow upcoming star like Yusuff is huge for Allen and shows his ability to compete with the bottom part of the top 10, which is where his next batch of opponents should come from.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
