4 years agoNew York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman allowed one run over one inning with two strikeouts against the Red Sox on Monday. Chapman rejoined the major league team earlier on Monday after a coronavirus related absence kept him sidelined for the team’s first 21 games, and the Yankees wasted no time in getting him game action despite entering Monday’s game in a non-save situation. Chapman looked mostly like himself on Monday with his fastball repeatedly touching triple digits, although his slider looked a little rusty at times and generated only one swinging-strike over nine pitches. Still, Chapman should be one of the best closers in baseball over the rest of the season, and fantasy players should start him with confidence every week.--Sam Chinitz
