3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman picked up his fifth straight save in Friday's victory over Miami. Chapman didn't allow a baserunner for the first time in six appearances, recording a strikeout en route to shutting the door on the Marlins. He's been much better in July, lowering his season ERA by nearly a run while maintaining a strong strikeout rate. Still, his bloated walk rate and barrel rate suggest he's still mistake-prone, even in this improved version of his game. Chapman is an obvious hold as the closer for a contending team, but his value is certainly on shakier ground than it was earlier in the year.--Tim Capurso
