3 years agoNew York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday. The southpaw has been sidelined since May 24 due to Achilles tendinitis. He's played catch but will throw off a mound for the first on Saturday since landing on the 10-day injured list. The 34-year-old owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 15:10 K:BB across 14 innings in 2022. Chapman remains a few weeks away from returning and will continue to rehab his Achilles injury. Clay Holmes has filled in as the Yankees closer while Chapman has been sidelined and is one of the best relievers in baseball. Holmes is a perfect 8-for-8 in save opportunities with a 0.34 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 28 strikeouts over 26 2/3 innings in 2022.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
