7 years agoThe Oakland Athletics are pursuing San Diego Padres relief pitcher Craig Stammen, according to sources. The Cubs have also been in the mix. Stammen has been great for the Friars this year in a setup role, going 4-1 with a 2.58 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 59 strikeouts in 52 1/3 innings. He wouldn't have a shot to close with a new team, so his fantasy value would remain largely unchanged.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
