4 years agoThe Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners will not play the first two games of their projected series, which was set to begin Tuesday, due to additional contact tracing for Oakland after a positive COVID-19 test. With the two clubs set to meet later in September at the Oakland Coliseum, it’s possible that many of those contests will now become seven-inning doubleheaders. Owners will want to adjust lineups with players from the A’s and Mariners now be sidelined until Thursday at the earliest, with no starting pitcher announcements having been made at this stage.--Jesse Borek
