Asdrubal Cabrera Has 1.192 OPS Over The Last Week
7 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera has been crushing it this year, but you might not have realized just how good he’s been. He owns a .356/.397/.644 slash line, which includes a .385/.385/.808 (1.192 OPS) line over the past week. Accompanied by three home runs, two doubles, eight runs scored and four RBI thus far, Cabrera is off to quite the start. The key for Cabrera is, was, and always will be his health. He’s most certainly going to endure minor issues during the year, but the big thing here is the health of his knee. He claimed it was good during spring training, but to anyone watching Mets games 14 outings in, he looks better than he has in years and hasn’t been a liability in the field either. As long as he’s healthy, Cabrera will hit, which makes him a formidable addition in 12-team leagues at the moment.
