Asdrubal Cabrera Stays Red-Hot
7 years agoMuch like the early stages of the 2017 season, New York Mets second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera has started off 2018 on a tear. In an 8-6 win over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday, Cabrera finished 2-for-4 with two home runs. Even more impressive was the fact that he went deep from both sides of the plate in this one. Cabrera is up to a .341/.400/.634 slash line for the season with three home runs, three doubles, nine runs scored and five RBI. This won’t last forever obviously, and Cabrera is bound to miss time with numerous minor injuries, but for fantasy purposes, he’s as hot as any second baseman at the moment. Ride the wave while it lasts.
