Asdrubal Cabrera’s Absence Due To Hamstring
7 years agoTo update an earlier item, the reason New York Mets second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera is out of the lineup on Wednesday is due to a hamstring injury. According to manager Mickey Callaway, the hamstring has been “barking” for some time. He also told the media that Cabrera could have played Wednesday, but the Mets simply want to take it easy with Cabrera. While this injury does not sound serious, it’s nonetheless troubling for a player who commonly misses time due to various minor injuries every year. He’ll likely be back in the lineup on Thursday, though, and if so he needs to be in your lineups with his monster .982 OPS this year.
