Astros Have Discussed Extension With Kyle Tucker
3 years agoThe Houston Astros recently spoke with outfielder Kyle Tucker's camp about a contract extension, but the two sides couldn't come to a deal and are no longer engaged, according to sources. Tucker will be arbitration-eligible for the first time in his career at the end of this season. The 25-year-old didn't have the start he wanted, but he's picked things up and is now slashing .254/.360/.441 with an .800 OPS, five home runs, 19 RBI, 12 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 34 games for the Astros. He's been much better in the month of May, hitting .310/.482/.500 with a .982 OPS, one home run, four RBI and six stolen bases in just 13 games. Tucker is a must-start in season-long fantasy leagues.
