5 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers placed catcher Austin Barnes (groin) on the 10-day injured list on Monday due to a strained groin. He suffered the injury running the bases in Sunday's series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Manager Dave Roberts said that he expects Barnes to only miss 10 days. The team recalled catcher Will Smith from Triple-A Oklahoma City, and he is expected to start Tuesday's game behind the plate against the New York Mets.--Daniel Dobish
