Austin Blythe Signs With Seahawks
3 years agoFormer Kansas City Chiefs center Austin Blythe signed an undisclosed deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, according to a source. The Seahawks could lose both Kyle Fuller and Ethan Pocic in free agency, so they are bringing in Blythe to help at the position in 2022. The 29-year-old managed to play in just four games in his lone season with the Chiefs. Blythe was originally a seventh-round selection by the Indianapolis Colts in 2016 out of Iowa. He played in eight games (one start) in his rookie year for the Colts and then moved to the Los Angeles Rams, where he stayed from 2017-20. As of right now, Drew Lock will be the man under center for Seattle after they traded Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos.
