4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Austin Dean was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a strained right elbow, which stems from a throw that he made during Sunday’s contest. Dean has appeared in just three games with the Cardinals, drawing three walks in seven plate appearances. His absence will pave the way for Tyler O’Neill to take back over left-field duties on a full-time basis when available. Dean holds DFS-only intrigue when healthy due to the plethora of St. Louis outfielders, but his absence could force him to miss the remainder of the year.--Jesse Borek
