Austin Dillon Charges Up To Second At Fontana
3 years agoAustin Dillon was able to kind of lurk around late and made quite the charge after the last restart. He gained several positions in the final laps to finish second. Dillon ended up less than two tenths of a second behind Kyle Larson. Dillon, the Richard Childress Racing driver, felt like he had the car late to win the race. He said as much on radio but just ran out of time. The No. 3 car looked a little like a certain iconic driver late in this race. Dillon showed a lot of resolve and a good deal of speed on the restarts. Only one other car was faster than him at the end of the race.
