6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler carried the ball three times against the Raiders on Sunday for 19 yards. He saw zero targets in the passing game. Sunday marked Ekeler's lowest level of involvement in the offense all season. With how overwhelmingly effective Melvin Gordon has been in all aspects of the game, it's not surprising to see Ekeler take a considerable back seat to his teammate. Still, his value as a complementary backfield piece takes a real hit when he isn't utilized at all in the passing game. Ekeler will look to bounce back in Week 11 against the Broncos.--Chris O'Reilly
