4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler was able to catch a touchdown pass in the victory over the Chicago Bears, saving his fantasy performance. Ekeler struggled in the game, only recording a total of 22 yards, with 19 of those coming from three receptions. Ekeler has continued to be marginalized since the return of Melvin Gordon, who immediately took the reigns of the backfield since his return. Going into Week 9, Ekeler could struggle to have an effective fantasy performance. While the Packers have given up an average of 21.6 points to running backs this season, they have been effective at stopping receiving yards and touchdowns, which is primarily the role of Ekeler in the Chargers offense. --Richard King - RotoBaller
