Austin Ekeler Finds End Zone In Week 8
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler continued his strong season in a Week 8 loss versus the New England Patriots. Ekeler rushed the balls 11 times for 64 yards and a five-yard touchdown. The veteran also continues to be a ppr monster and caught six of his 10 targets for 60 yards. A late addition to the injury report this week with a hip injury, Ekeler was able to play through the pain and put up valuable numbers for managers. As long as he remains healthy, Ekeler is capable of putting up big numbers on a weekly basis. Backing up Ekeler, veteran Justin Jackson picked up 79 yards on three carries and rookie running back Larry Rountree III recorded 11 yards on four carries. Managers would be wise to insure Ekeler with one or both of Jackson and Rountree in that order. Moving forward, Ekeler will be a RB1 in Week 9 versus the Philadelphia Eagles.
