Austin Ekeler Goes For 59 Yards In Week 9
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler continued his productive season in a Week 9 victory versus the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran continues to be a bell cow for the Chargers backfield and saw 17 carries for 59 yards. He also caught three balls for 23 yards. It wasn't his best performance of the season, but he was able to do enough to help managers. It was quarterback Justin Herbert's game this afternoon and he scored all three touchdowns for the Chargers. Moving forward, Ekeler will face a Minnesota Vikings defense that got torched for 247 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 and the veteran should continue to see plenty of work in Week 10. Even in a down week for Ekeler, he was still able to put up double-digit points for managers and he should be considered a RB1 on a weekly basis in all formats moving forward.
