4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler picked up 45 yards on 10 carries versus the Denver Broncos in Week 16. Ekeler also caught all three of his targets for 23 yards and a touchdown on the afternoon. Ekeler didn't do much on the ground, but he was able salvage his day with his touchdown. The Chargers were without wide receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring) and tight end Hunter Henry (COVID-19) in this contest, but Ekeler didn't see much of an uptick in usage. The running back still remains an important part of the Chargers offense and he remains one of the best running back options for PPR leagues for the rest of this season. Ekeler will face the Chiefs in Week 17 and should be considered a RB1.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
