7 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals called up left-handed pitcher Austin Gomber on Sunday. Gomber struck out 16 in his most recent Triple-A Memphis start, but he'll work out of the bullpen for the big league club. His first appearance will be his major league debut, and while he has nice upside long term, he likely won't be pitching any significant innings for a while.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
