7 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays (ankle) has done baseball activities at Double-A Bowie the last couple of days and is improving. He will join Single-A Aberdeen soon on a minor league assignment. Hays last played for Bowie on May 24, so he's been out a while. MLB.com lists Hays as the team's third overall prospect, so he's definitely an outfielder of the future. He hit just .217 with one home run and eight RBI in 60 at-bats with the Orioles earlier this year, but he could see decent playing time down the stretch with Baltimore having nothing to play for.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
