3 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays ended the first half of the season with a bang in Sunday's extra-innings 7-5 loss to the White Sox. Hays went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk and also made another solid defensive play. The 26-year-old took a first-inning Dylan Cease fastball just over the right-center wall for his ninth HR of the season. Hays rounded out the first half with a .247/.303/.434 slash line and 31 RBI. He battled some injuries and has picked things up a bit but is still not performing to the offensive level he has for the past several seasons. Hopefully, he can ramp things up in the second half and start providing some fantasy value.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
