6 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfield prospect Austin Hays (ankle) underwent surgery on Thursday to fix a stress fracture in his right ankle, and he said the surgery was successful on his Twitter account. The team's No. 4 prospect struggled at Single-A Aberdeen and Double-A Bowie this year, hitting .235/.266/.410 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI and six stolen bases in 75 games due to his injury. He's a part of the future outfield for Baltimore, though, and could force his way up to the big leagues late next year if he plays well.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
