7 years agoSan Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges (elbow) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday. The Padres recalled catcher Raffy Lopez, who will start and bat seventh Tuesday night. The moves will have minimal fantasy impact. Hedges was off to an awful offensive start, slashing .173/.235/.293 with two home runs. Lopez is a career minor leaguer with a .194 average in 85 major league plate appearances. Lopez had a strong spring training, swatting four homers with a 1.294 OPS and was playing well at Triple-A prior to Tuesday's call-up (seven homers, 1.029 OPS).
