Austin Hooper A TE2 In Week 2
4 years agoCleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper had a slow debut for his new team in Week 1. Hooper finished with just two catches for 15 yards and was overshadowed by fellow tight end David Njoku, who found the end zone. Hooper could be a larger part of the offense going forward as Njoku landed on injured reserve with a knee injury this week. The absence of Njoku should create more looks for Hooper in Week 2's Thursday night matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincy allowed Hunter Henry to lead the Los Angeles Chargers in receiving in Week 1, giving some hope to fantasy gamers who drafted Hooper to be their TE1. For now, it is best to treat Hooper as a mid-range TE2 until he shows more production on the field.
