Austin Hooper Has Six Dropped Passes This Year

2 years agoCleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper has dropped six passes this year, which is tied for the most among tight ends, according to Pro Football Focus. Hooper has really struggled with quarterback Baker Mayfield, and he's dropped around 10% of his 61 targets. Hooper's 38 catches for 345 yards and three touchdowns are roughly half of the 75 receptions for 787 yards and six touchdowns he posted in his final season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2019. In Hooper's defense, the Browns have used a lot of 13 personnel this year -- three tight ends -- to help with protection issues on the offensive line. The 27-year-old is averaging 2.5 catches and just 23.0 receiving yards in 15 games this year. In Cleveland, he's become a low-upside, low-end TE2 in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
