Austin Hooper Ruled Out Against Raiders
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper has been ruled out for Week 15 against the Las Vegas Raiders after not being activated from the COVID-19 reserve list. This will leave David Njoku as the No. 1 tight end in the Cleveland offense, while Harrison Bryant serves as the No. 2 option. Bryant hasn't played since Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens where he suffered an ankle injury, so he could be eased back into action. Njoku is the more reliable option out of the two, as he has shown in the past he can be a big part of the Cleveland offense. With Jarvis Landry also out of action, there could be enough targets to go around for Njoku to be in the TE1 discussion for fantasy managers. Still, the Browns figure to lean on the run game quite a bit, so he could be considered a boom-or-bust option in this one.
