Austin Hooper Tests Positive For COVID-19
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, which adds to a number of players that are now in the protocol for the Browns. David Njoku missed Week 14 with his own stint on the COVID-19 list, while Harrison Bryant (ankle) was also held out of action. Bryant is expected to be able to practice as soon as Wednesday, which is a good sign that he will be available on Saturday. Njoku reported that he is asymptomatic, which means it looks like he will be cleared in time to play in Week 15, so he could be in for a big role should Hooper and Bryant be held out of action. If Hooper is able to be cleared in time, he would be in the low-end TE1 discussion after seeing seven targets which led to five receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown in Week 14. This will be a situation to monitor on a short week, but as of now, it seems like fantasy managers should have a backup plan for their tight end slot.
