4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows has not yet made his 2020 season debut, but that could be coming to an end as soon as next week once the Rays return to Tropicana Field. Manager Kevin Cash said Wednesday that it was a “realistic timetable” to expect Meadows back when Tampa Bay returns home, which would be a major boon to the team’s lineup. Meadows erupted onto the scene last season, earning All-Star honors in his first full year, mashing 33 home runs and compiling a .922 OPS. Owners will want to snatch Meadows off the waiver wire if he is available as he figures to play a prominent role in the heart of the Tampa Bay order moving forward.--Jesse Borek
