2 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Austin Meadows (illness) has resumed baseball activities in Florida and could start a minor league rehab assignment as early as Wednesday, according to manager A.J. Hinch. Meadows has been out since May 16 due to vertigo, but it looks like he's getting closer to a return to Detroit. The 27-year-old was relevant in deep mixed fantasy leagues before landing on the injured list, as he was hitting .267/.362/.347 with no home runs, 11 RBI and nine runs scored in 101 at-bats. Hopefully, Meadows returns from his bout with vertigo and can rediscover his power stroke. The Tigers are short-handed in their outfield right now with Meadows, Victor Reyes and Robbie Grossman all on the injured list.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
