Austin Meadows Hits Game-Winning Homer
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows hit a solo home run in the 11th inning Saturday night to lift the Rays over the Yankees in a 2-1 victory. Since his return from his thumb injury, Meadows is hitting .333 with three homers and a steal. It’s safe to say that he’s back and healthy and producing for the Rays and his fantasy owners. It’s still a fairly small sample size but his numbers through about 100 at-bats are excellent, hitting .347/.423/.694 with nine home runs and four stolen bases. The supporting numbers say that his start is legit. Meadows could be a guy that is common amongst fantasy champions at the end of the season. Hang on if you have him, and if there’s an owner that doesn’t believe in breakout, make a move.
