3 years agoSan Diego Padres catcher Austin Nola compiled four hits in five at-bats Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics with a run scored and two RBI. Making his sixth start since being activated from the IL on July 22, Nola had his best game of the season and first four-hit output of 2021. Limited to just 25 games this year due to finger and knee injuries, Nola carries a .265/.381/.368 slash with a homer and 21 runs-plus-RBI in 84 plate appearances. A fantasy stalwart at the backstop position last season with a .903 OPS, Nola could prove a valuable fantasy piece down the stretch. Although he's likely to split time with catcher Victor Caratini, Nola is worth checking the waiver wire in case he was dropped during his lengthy absence.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
