3 years agoSan Diego Padres catcher Austin Nola (knee) is expected to rejoin the Padres on Thursday after being sidelined since the end of May with a sprained knee, according to Dennis Lin of The Athletic. Nola has been limited to 18 games this season due to the knee injury as well as a fractured hand, and in that span he's slashing .217/.373/.326 with one home run, 11 RBI and four runs scored. He'll figure to slot back in and get regular playing time behind the plate, which will take up the playing time Webster Rivas got as Victor Caratini's backup in Nola's absence. Upon his return, Nola's value will be limited to two-catcher formats or 14-team and deeper leagues.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
