2 years agoAtlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley has received a well-deserved extension from the organization. The 25-year-old has agreed to a 10-year deal worth $212 million, which is the highest in franchise history. This deal will buy out Riley's three remaining arbitration years as well as seven free agent years. Riley had a breakout season in 2021 and followed that up with another strong year in 2022. The young star is hitting over .300 with 29 home runs and 68 RBI through 101 games. The Braves want to make sure they lock up their stud third baseman before it's too late.
