Austin Riley Loses Arbitration Case
3 years agoAtlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley lost his salary arbitration case against the team on Wednesday. Riley will make $3.95 million this year instead of the $4.2 million he requested. The 25-year-old right-handed slugger is hitting only .237 (27-for-114), but he has given his fantasy managers a very respectable seven home runs, 14 RBI, 16 runs scored and one stolen base in his first 30 games this season. You shouldn't be expecting Riley to repeat his .303 batting average from a season ago, but he certainly has the potential to provide another 30-homer season.
