Austin Riley To Be Called Up

5 years agoAtlanta Braves third base prospect Austin Riley will be called up to the majors to play in the outfield on Wednesday, according to David O'Brien of The Athletic. Ender Inciarte left Tuesday's contest with back tightness and Ronald Acuna will likely man center field in his place. The Braves had lately been giving Riley reps in left field in anticipation of this very situation. Riley has been destroying AAA pitching in the last few weeks. Boasting a .299/.377/.681 slash line, he hit a grand slam on Tuesday, which gives him 13 HR and 31 RBI in just the last 18 games. Given the talented lineup around him, Riley and his 60-grade power are must-adds everywhere, as a hot start could push Inciarte to the bench for the rest of the season.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
