4 years agoThe Chicago Cubs have placed catcher Austin Romine (wrist) on the 10-day injured list with a left wrist sprain. Romine came over this offseason as a free agent and started the season on the injured list with a knee injury, before being activated on April 14. Romine has just one hit over nine at-bats and is the backup to starting catcher Willson Contreras. Catcher Tony Wolters has been recalled from the teams alternative training site to replace Romine. Wolters filled in as the backup to Contreras earlier this season and is 0-for-4 on the season. He can safely remain on the waiver wire.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
