4 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater was activated off of the injured list prior to Saturday’s contest against Arizona and left-hander Madison Bumgarner. Slater will serve as the designated hitter, batting leadoff and drawing the distinction of being the first batter that Bumgarner faces versus his former club. Prior to hitting the IL due to a groin strain, Slater was producing career-best numbers across the board, including a 202 OPS+ and .533 xwOBAcon. Season-long fantasy managers in all but the shallowest of leagues will want to get Slater back on rosters as his value will only increase by remaining entrenched in the leadoff spot.--Jesse Borek
