2 years agoThe Miami Marlins activated outfielder Avisail Garcia (hamstring) from the injured list on Tuesday and optioned Peyton Burdick to Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move. Garcia will immediately return to the starting lineup on Tuesday against Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola, as he's starting in right field and hitting cleanup. The 31-year-old veteran will be playing in his first major league game since Aug. 2, but he did get six minor league games to shake the rust off before he was reinstated. Garcia will return to being Miami's regular right fielder to close out the 2022 season. In 323 at-bats this year, he's slashing .232/.269/.322 with seven long balls, 30 RBI, 29 runs scored and four stolen bases.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
