2 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Avisail Garcia (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a strained left hamstring. He was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds with left hamstring discomfort. The 31-year-old has struggled this season, slashing .232/.269/.322 with seven home runs, 30 RBI, and 29 runs in 88 games. Garrett Cooper (wrist) was reinstated from the injured list in a corresponding move. Cooper has been solid this season, slashing .279/.347/.426 with seven home runs, 40 RBI, and 28 runs in 84 games. The Marlins are also with Jorge Soler (back), Cooper, JJ Bleday, and Bryan De La Cruz should see an uptick in at-bats while Miami is short-handed in the outfield.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
