3 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield could be dealt for a late-round pick a few days before the NFL draft this month, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday. Rapoport also expects the Browns to each a port of the $18 million guaranteed owed to Mayfield for the 2022 season in order to facilitate a trade. A team like the Carolina Panthers could trade for Mayfield if they aren't sold on taking a QB with the No. 6 overall pick in the draft, and have Mayfield compete for the starting job with Sam Darnold. The Browns want a second-round pick for Mayfield, but they're unlikely to get it after his injury plagued season in 2021. The Seattle Seahawks are among the favorites to land Mayfield after they shipped Russell Wilson to the Broncos this offseason.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
