3 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield reportedly could be traded to the Carolina Panthers by the weekend. According to Kimberly A. Martin of ESPN, the Panthers' pursuit of Mayfield continues to heat up, and he could end up in Carolina by the weekend. If acquired, the former No.1 overall pick would compete with Sam Darnold for Carolina's starting quarterback job. He had a rough 2021 season, dealing with a torn labrum in his left shoulder, throwing for 3,010 yards, 17 touchdowns, 13 interceptions while rushing for 134 yards and a score over 14 games for Cleveland in 2021.
