Baker Mayfield Gets Thumbs Up To Start Versus Steelers

4 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield (chest) will suit up for Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh, a confirmation of his own status that he provided earlier in the week. Mayfield is battling sore ribs, which could be a target against a defense as aggressive as the Steelers’. Working in Mayfield’s favor is that he has both Odell Beckham Jr. (illness) and Jarvis Landry (hip/ribs) active, but Mayfield is still a risky QB1 option this week due to the combination of his ailment and the matchup. Yet to exceed the 250-yard plateau through the air this season, Mayfield has yet to throw for more than 200 yards in any of his career outings against Pittsburgh.
