Baker Mayfield Has Fractured Humerus Bone
3 years agoJay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting that Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) is dealing with a fractured humerus bone, a term called tuberosity. This comes in addition to his torn labrum that he was already dealing with. Mayfield told Glazer that, "I need that fracture to heal for me to get back out there." Mayfield is already inactive for Thursday's Week 7 matchup versus the Denver Broncos, and it appears that this might not be the only contest that he misses. Backup quarterback Case Keenum will start in Week 7 and he has had previous success with head coach Kevin Stefanski. Mayfield won't be able to return to the field until he is fully healed, but he is hopeful to be back for the teams Week 8 contest versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.
